Suoraan tuottajalta perheen ruokapöytään?
Miltä tuntuisi saada tuoretta kalaa suoraan kalastajalta perheen ruokapöytään tai lihaa, kananmunia, vihanneksia, juureksia, perunoita, marjoja, leipää ja hunajaa ilman välikäsiä? Hyvältä tietysti. Mutta mistä, kuinka ja millä hinnalla?
Idea on ainakin kalan kohdalla hautumassa kun nuori sundomilainen kalasataja miettii, miten idean voisi toteuttaa käytännössä. Yksi mahdollisuus olisi tulla Kalarantaan joka lauantai kello 10.00.
Hakusanoja: ”suoraan tuottajalta kuluttajalle”, lähiruoka, ruokarinki, ruokapiiri, suoramyynti, suoramyyntimarkkinat, ”suoraan maatilalta” ostorengas, ”finfood kauppakanava”, itsepoiminta, itsepoimintatilat, kotiteurastamo, kotisavustamo, kotileipomo
Mistään uudesta ja ainutlaatuisesta ajatuksesta ei ole kysymys. Jotkut vaasalaiset perheet ovat jo vuosia tehneet tinkisopimuksia alueen, lähinnä ruotsinkielisten, tuottajien kanssa. Asiasta on vain vaikeata saa tietoa. Jos tiedät jotain tinkisopimuksista, niin kerro niistä tämän sivun comments osiossa. 1990-luvun loppupuolella oli muotia perustaa ruokapiiri. Piirin perustajia yhdisti usein luomuideologia ja biodynaaminen ruoka. Ruokapiirien nykytilanteesta kirjoittajalla ei ole tietoa.
Tuoretta kalaa
Elämäntapaidealisti Tapio Osala perusti pari vuotta sitten hankkeen tuoreen kalan saamiseksi suoraan kalastajilta ruokapöytään. Ajatus vastapyydetyn kalan toimittamisesta vaasalaisille kuluttajalle ilman välikäsiä syntyi Osalan mielessä elokuussa 2003.
” Idea syntyi loppukesällä 2003 kun sain kutsun kahden sundomilaisen ammattikalastajan kalastusmatkalle Vaasan ulkosaaristoon, Rönnskärille. Kalastajien mielestä idea on hyvä ja he myyvät mielellään kalaa suoraan kuluttajalle. Suurin ongelma on kalastajan ja kuluttajan kohtaaminen. Kaikenlaista turhaa autoajelua tulisi välttää.”
Yksi Osalan ideoista on, että kalarinkiin kuuluvat saavat kännykkäänsä tiedon siitä, milloin kalastaja saapuu kalasatamaan tai muuhun yhdessä sovittuun paikkaan saaliinsa kanssa. Tämä on mahdollista toteuttaa joukkoviesteillä. Toki myös sähköpostin käyttäminen on mahdollista. Nykytekniikka mahdollistaa tiedon välittymisen myös muista tuotteista suoraan kännykkään kunhan joku vain perustaa ”poolin” eli sivuston, jonka kautta tiedot välittyvät.
Onko muuten kaikki Kalarannan ”luukut” vuokrattu? Voisivatko ne toimia tällaisina myyntipisteinä esim. joka lauantai?
Tapio Osala perustelee ideaansa varsin hyvillä argumenteilla:
1) Edistetään terveellisen luomuravinnon käyttöä
2) Turvataan uhanalaisen rannikkokalastajan ammatin säilymistä
3) hyvää ravintoa hieman edullisemmin samalla kun kalastaja saa hieman paremman hinnan (
4) kala vielä tuoreempana ruokapöytään
5) tietää varmasti mistä kala on peräisin
Raaka realismi
Ihmisiä on yritetty saada kiinnostumaan lähiruoasta kohta parikymmentä vuotta. Erilaisissa projekteissa on palanut rahaa uskomattomia summia. Joskus tuntuu siltä, että nämäkin hukkaan heitetyt rahat olisi voitu käyttää suoraan tukeen tuottajille. Maaseudun tuotteiden ja palveluiden myyntiluettelo Jussin Pussi ilmestyi useita vuosia keväisin noin 170 000 kappaleen painoksena. Vuonna 2004 Jussin Pussi ei enää ilmestynyt. Jussin Pussin verkkosivutkin sulkeutuvat 3.5.2004.
Jussin Pussissa oli parhaimmillaan n. 800 kohdetta maakunnittain jaoteltuina ja 250 tuotetta ja palvelua, numeroitu kartta, aihehakemisto ja maakuntahakemisto helpottamassa sopivan kohteen löytymistä. Kunkin yrittäjän ilmoituksessa oli tiedot yhteydenottoa varten ja tarkat ajo-ohjeet.
Idea ei vain toiminut. Ilmeisesti siksi, että konsepti koettiin liian hankalaksi. Tuotteet ja palvelut piti hakea joskus pitkänkin automatkan takaa. Automarketit ja entistä isommat ja edullisemmat kylmiöratkaisut, pakasteet ja jääkaappi-pakasteyhdistelmät jyräsivät idealismin. Vai olisiko syy yksinkertaisesti siinä, että pizzaketjut, mäkkärit ja einekset ovat opettaneet ostavan väen huonoille tavoille? Ruokaa ei enää osata tai viitsitä valmistaa tuoreista raaka-aineista. Tai miksi maksaa ruoasta ylimääräistä kun sen saa halvemmalla LIdlistä?
Vaikeuksista huolimatta organisoitu lähiruoan suoramyynti saattaa olla tulevaisuutta. Tapahtui se sitten sähköisesti tai vain ihmiskontaktien kautta tai näiden yhdistelmänä. Esimerkiksi Sundomissa toimii Hortansin kotiteurastamo, pieni leipomo ja böcklingiä varten kylästä löytyy useampiakin uuneja. Kyrönmaan alueella toimivat mm. Atilan ”Kyrön makkaraa” valmistava kotivalmistamo ja Joken Kebab. Lisäksi lähiympäristössä on useita pieniä leipomoita mm. Laihian Kotipulla. Nämä ja monet muut pitäisi vain yhdiostää saman ”sateenvarjon alle”.
Pieni googlettaminen tuo nopeasti suuren määrän resursseja aiheesta ja sen ympäriltä. Voit itse todeta tämän käyttämällä hyväksesi jutun yläosassa olevaa sanageneraattoria. Netistä löytyy myös valmiita toimintamalleja ja jopa sivuja, joissa on tilauslomakkeita, joiden idea on helppo kopioida jos kiinnostuneita löytyy.

Tämänhetkinen kuvio olisi: Sundomilainen kalastaja toisi säännöllisesti lauantaisin (esim klo10-12) ainakin tuoretta ja savukalaa Kalarantaan. Kesällä ehkä veneellä - talvella kelkalla tai autolla.
Itseäni on alkanut harmittamaan kun kaupan tiskeillä onkin yllättäen siikapossua eli altaissa kasvatettua siikaa.
Tiesittekö muuten että Merenkurkun karisiika on Suomen puhtain kala (ei siis se iso vaellussiika (ja lohi), jonka pimeällä näkee 2 m:n syvyyteen - hohtaa fosforia, elohopaa ja dioxiineja...)

Lisäkommnetti: Uskon tähän kalan varassa olevaan projektiin ja uskon myös, että se saisi vaasalaisten parissa suuren suosion. Kävisin itse ainakin joka toinen viikko.
KEHITYS: Kun väkeä käy niin markkinavoimat hoitavat lisää tarjontaa paikalle. Joko tuo samainen kalastaja ottaa Sunmosta peruaa ja juureksi mukaansa tai sitten itse viljelijä tulee samaan aikaan myymään tuotteitaan,
Miksi sitten ei kauppatorilta?
Vaikka itse en juuri autoa kaupungissa käytä niin monet änkeävät autoilla keskustaan. Keskustan P-paikat maksavat ja vaasalainen on nuuka parkkeeraaja (sen näkee Sittarin P-luolan tungoksesta). Kalarantaan pääsee sekä myyjä että ostaja näppärästi sekä autolla, veneellä, pyörällä että kävellen.

Annan mielelläni tällä sivulla palstatilaa hyvälle asialle.
Että tämä ei jäisi huulten höpinäksi tarvitaan paikka, minne tuotteet voi jättää tai mistä ne voi noutaa. Tarvitaan riittävä määrä ihmisiä, jotka sitoutuu ostamaan tuotteita. Tarvitaan siis lista. Missä se fyysesti sijaitsee? Kalarannassa? Netissä?
Lisäksi aikataulut ja miljoona muuta asiaa. Kuka ryhtyy "operaattoriksi" ja saako sellaiseen hommaan avustusta? Voisin olla kinnostunut.
Mikään ongelmaton asia tällainen kalastajan suoramyynti ei ole. Ensinnäkin kalastaja voi myydä vain sen määrän, jonka hän on saanaut pyydettyä. Eli kaikki tilaajat eivät saa tuoretta kalaa jos saalis on huono. Miten asiakkaat priorisoidaan?
Jos taas saalista on enenmän kuin tilaajia, syntyy siitäkin ongelmia.
Kalastajalla pitäisi olla ainakin mahdollisuus jatkojalostukseen eli savustamiseen, fileointiin, jauhamiseen kalapulliksi jne. Tähän ei taas yhden miehen työpäivä riitä.
Mitään listaa ei mielestäni voi pitää kuin korkeintaan silakasta sesongin aikana. Ainoa järkevä tapa on, että kalastaja tulee rantaan tieyttynä aikana ja myy ensuiksi ehtineille mitä on myytävää.
Listan mukaan myydään perunoita, juureksia, marjoja, hunajaa, jauhoja, leipiä jne.
Tässä on puhutta kahdesta asiasta limittäin joidenka tarkoitus on sama. Edullista lähiruokaa suoraan tuottajalta -ilman välikäsiä.
Minun mallini ei vaadi mitään listoja ja organisointia - kalastaja itse ja viljelijä itse tulee kalrantaan ja myy asiakkaille tuotteensa tietyllä kellonlyömällä. (Loput kalat kalastaja myy kalatukkuun).
Tätä palstaa ja sivustoa voinemme käyttää tiedotukseen kun homma alkaa. Toki muitakin kanavia.
Olen tänään viimeksi ollut Sundomin ammattikalastajien puheenjohtajaan yhteydessä ja kalastajaa/kalastajia (voisi pari vuorotellakin) jotka sitoutuisivat SÄÄNNÖLLISESTI tulemaan kaloineen sovittuna aikana etsitään edelleen.
Jäi delellisestä nimi pois - Tapio O siis oli asialla.
Aivan upeata. Jos rannassa saadaan käymään yksi kalastaja ja ihmiset ostavat, niin ehkä sinne tulee toinenkin. Ja kun tieto leviää, niin paikalle saattaa tulla juureksia ja vihanneksia myyvä maanviljelijä pakettiautoineen ja niin edelleen.
Jos paikkana on Kalaranta niin rantamakasiinin, vai mikä sen nimi on, seinässä voi olla ilmoitustulu.
Ei siihen sen kummempaa tarvita.
Jos joku taas haluaa perustaa ruokapiirin niin siihen taas netti aivan mainio väline.
